Descrição

One of the oldest antiarrow innovations in Rokugan is the inflating arrow cloak, which is essentially a flexible, wicker-framed sail made of high-thread-count silk. Attached to a horseback rider at the waist and shoulders, the arrow cloak fills with air as the horse gallops, puffing out into a balloon shape. Arrows either bounce off the billowing cloak or are caught by the cloth before they can reach the rider. The arrow cloak has become a symbol of battlefield messengers and Imperial Heralds alike, but while it grants the rider significant protection from ranged attacks, it also makes them a target, as there is significant prestige in being the archer who killed an arrow cloak wearer.

While wearing a deployed horo, treat your physical resistance against arrows and similar missiles as 5. While riding on horseback or otherwise mounted, increase this resistance to 6. (Cost: 5 koku. Rarity: 6.)
