While the Word of the Prophet is an illuminated tome that is banned within Rokugani borders, countless copies of it circulate along the Sand Road, and some have even made their way within the Emerald Empire’s borders. The book, a collection of Qamarist stories, is the basis of worship for the Qamarist faith. It contains not only the story of the Nameless Prophet but also an extensive appendix of notes, discussions, and arguments by noted scholars. Although the contents are usually the same in each book, no two copies are identical, varying in their elaborate decorations, notes, and inscribed interpretations.
