Snow Lion
Descrição
With white fur and a turquoise mane, this being with a round face and a jaw in a perpetual grin can be found in the mountains, leaping from peak to peak. They do not fly, but their feet never touch the ground. The Ujik associate the snow lion with strength, joy, and playfulness. Some who follow Shinseism believe that its roar imparts insights toward Enlightenment. When a seeker of truth climbs one of the highest mountain peaks, that seeker might end up playing tag or fetch with a snow lion—and on occasion, a snow lion might steal such a person’s belongings, necessitating a chase, only to disappear seemingly into thin air.
