On the road, Michi is friendly and inquisitive. The monk speaks cryptically but openly, and appears harmless. However, once they reach the castle Michi’s manner changes entirely; the monk becomes serious and sober, quoting Shinsei’s wisdom when spoken to, otherwise remaining silent. Michi visits the shrines to pray, then finds a particularly uncomfortable-looking corner in the Training Courtyard to sit and meditate. The monk appears to be waiting for something but won’t say what.
