Descrição
According to legend, when the Ki-Rin Clan divided itself into the five hordes to explore the lands beyond Rokugan, Iuchi asked Shinjo to forbid his eldest daughter, Meiko, from following him south with the Green Horde. Meiko begged Shinjo to send her south with her father, but instead, Meiko accompanied the Purple Horde with Utaku Shiko. During this time, she built upon the knowledge that her father had acquired, refining the art that would evolve into meishōdō. But it was her great-granddaughter, Iuchi Utsuko, who would complete her life’s work, developing patterns for a more stable talisman. Artisans whose talismans utilize one of Iuchi Utsuko’s patterns can create superior divine vessels for enshrined spirits to thrive within, or more perfect prisons for spirits that would otherwise terrorize the countryside.
After it is used to capture a spirit, a meishōdō talisman with the Utsuko pattern increases its stability by its creator’s Void ring.
