Most beings who know of the Badger think only of their expertise in sumai. More cultured individuals also know of the clan’s expertise in silk, and eagerly seek out the raw material so it can be used in their own creations.
Like the Badger and the mountains that surround them, this silk is hardy and tough, even when crafted into elegant robes fit for the finest courts. It instills in its wearers the quiet strength of rock that has endured for countless years.
When a character wearing armor made with mountain silk succeeds at a check to resist a critical strike, they add one bonus success. Armor with physical resistance 2 or lower made using mountain silk loses the Cumbersome quality (if it has it) and gains the Durable quality. Armor with physical resistance 3 or higher made using mountain silk gains the Durable quality and reduces its physical resistance by 1.
