Bushidō In Rokugan

Seção Using Social AttributesQuadro Quadro lateral

Texto

Within the fictional world of Rokugan, honor is believed to be more objective than it is subjective. The Rokugani code of honor does vary somewhat in interpretation, but samurai mostly agree on what the perfect samurai should believe, live for, and die for. It is a harsh code, and it values some lives above others.

Unlike in historical Japan, the bulk of Rokugani Bushidō’s demands are spelled out in a single text—Akodo’s Leadership*. There is little room for shades of gray, and even those samurai who do not hold themselves to every demand of Bushidō generally believe in the code’s value. Where they disagree is on which tenets of Bushidō can be allowed to slide with the least consequence, and which must be upheld no matter what.*
