When to Make a Check
Texto
The GM gets to decide when it’s worthwhile for a character to make a check. As a rule of thumb, the GM should consider the following questions:
Could the character fail?
Could the character possibly succeed?
Are the consequences of success and failure interesting and meaningfully different?
If the answer to any of these is “no,” the GM probably shouldn’t ask for a check. The character can simply succeed at their action or fail at it, and the GM can work with the player to narrate the results in the story.
