Table 3–2: Spending Opportunity against Tainted Threats, on page 131, details a selection of ways to spend on checks in a game when the characters confront Tainted threats outside of the Shadowlands, such as while pursuing secretive mahō-tsukai. One option is presented for checks of each ring, although at the GM’s discretion, an option may be applied to checks using other rings where appropriate or used as the basis for a new idea for spending .
