Talisman of the Sun
Descrição
During the Ki-Rin Clan’s overthrow of the undead Sun Kings in Rempet alongside al-Qamari, a brave samurai heard a voice crying out to be freed from its prison. The source of these cries was a talisman of braided metal, bearing a jewel that shone like fire. The voice promised to aid its rescuers if only it could feel the sun again. It is said that after the Sun Kings’ defeat, Iuchi made many attempts to free the imprisoned spirit from the talisman, as did his daughter and grandson after him, but to no avail. The Talisman of the Sun is now a treasure resting in Gatherer of Winds Castle, one of its many mysteries, brought out from its ornate container each morning by the seneschals to bask in the light of the sunrise.
The Talisman of the Sun is a meishōdō talisman that contains the following invocations from the core rulebook: By the Light of the Lord Moon (page 192), Hands of the Tides (page 208), and Wings of the Phoenix (page 206). After the talisman is used to cast an invocation, it cannot cast another until it has basked in sunlight for at least one minute. It does not have a stability value (see Stability, page 106)—for now, the spirit is trapped indefinitely.
