Yuki: The Ancestral Armor of the Unicorn Clan

As the very armor that Shinjo wore when she left the Empire, Yuki would normally be considered one of the oldest examples of Rokugani armor. Yet over the centuries, the ancestral armor of the Unicorn Clan has seen many revisions and upgrades, even before it was finally gifted to Shinjo’s son, Nishijin, before her confrontation with Orochi, the Great Serpent. On that day, Yuki’s cream-white plates were painted midnight purple, a new regal color for a reborn clan. When the Unicorn returned, Yuki was unrecognizable with its white fur cloak, golden helmet-horns, and Qamari upgrades. But Shinjo’s presence still lingers within, reminding the wearer of her promise to always return.
While Yuki’s base components are old-fashioned, many parts have been replaced over the years. The armor must be adjusted for each new champion, and each generation adds new improvements and embellishments. Thus, it has become a living embodiment of the Unicorn Clan’s entire history, not merely its glorious past. It currently rests on display at Far Traveler Castle.
Yuki is an awakened suit of midnight-purple lacquered riding armor, adorned in white fur and gilded, modified to fit the current Unicorn Clan Champion.

- Quirk: Yuki becomes impossible to remove while the armor senses danger is near.
- Profile: Physical 6, Supernatural 2, Ceremonial, Cumbersome, Durable, Sacred, Wargear.
- Sealed Invocation: Yuki has Nature’s Touch (core rulebook, page 194) sealed within it, which the wearer may activate once per game session as an action, using Fitness (Air) instead of Theology (Air).
