Entice with Offerings

Tipo Shūji ShūjiRank 3Anéis Air Air

Descrição

Negotiation is always a matter of give and take, and sometimes the key to taking what you want is giving up something your adversary values more highly than you do. In fact, a careful concession can even turn an enemy into an unwitting ally by setting up bait that, when swallowed, makes the foe’s efforts serve one’s own agenda.

Regras

Ativação

As a Scheme action, you may make a TN 3 Commerce (Air) check targeting another character. When you use this technique you must give up something you know the target wants: this could mean giving up a physical object your target desires, or making a concession in a negotiation or argument that adds 2 momentum points to your target’s current objective.

Efeitos

If you succeed, you distract your target for one round; during that time, your target cannot add momentum to their social objectives. This effect persists for one round, plus one additional round for every two bonus successes.

Novas oportunidades

  • OpportunityOpportunity: Instead of being unable to add momentum to their social objectives, when your target would otherwise add one or more momentum points to one of their social objectives, those momentum points are added to one of your social objectives of your choice instead. Your target is not aware that their efforts are being diverted to your cause.
