Shadow of Days
EarthDescrição
The scholars of al-Zawira have unparalleled knowledge of the Mortal Realm’s dimensions, the movement of stars in the sky, and the relationship between the two. Using mathematical models and knowledge of the world’s scope, a scholar with this training can accurately calculate the distance between two locations, allowing them to estimate travel time, determine logistics, and more.
Regras
- Ativação
As a downtime activity, you may make a TN 4 Culture (Earth) check to calculate the distance between two locations. You must have certain information about each location, such as knowledge of which stars are visible there at certain times of year or the length of shadows at certain hours of the day. If you have visited both locations, the TN is 2 instead.
- Efeitos
If you succeed, you determine the distance between the two locations as the crow flies in li, from which you can estimate travel days. The estimate does not necessarily account for all obstacles in the way.
Novas oportunidades
- : If you succeed and you have access to a map to cross-compare, you are able to create an even more accurate estimate of the travel time, accounting for known obstacles.
- : Reduce the TN of any checks you make using the Recall approach by 1. This effect persists until the end of the next scene.
- : You can accurately predict a future celestial phenomenon, such as the convergence of stellar bodies or an eclipse, in one or both locations.
