Descrição
Each year at the Winter Court, samurai take the opportunity to prove themselves, participating in numerous challenges, games, and tests. While these events are in many ways backdrop for the bargains and machinations on the grand stage of politics, they are hardly unimportant. Becoming a Winter Court Champion offers a character more than just the accolades of the court for the remainder of the proceedings. It also gives them unparalleled access to the authorities of Rokugan, including the Imperial Court, which is usually sealed away in Otosan Uchi behind high walls of stone and higher walls of bureaucracy. Thus, winning a contest at a Winter Court can be a unique opportunity to advance their clan’s agenda—and one’s own agenda within the clan!
