Descrição

Orghina sucked her teeth in frustration. She knew the Rokugani word. Except the Rokugani word refused to leap from her mind and down her tongue, and the Rokugani merchant smiling politely in front of her would not have any idea what the Ujik equivalent meant.

“Are you looking for dried fish?” the merchant said. Orghina shook her head. “No, it’s not food.” “A netsuke?” “No, you don’t wear it!” “Ah! Of course, I have a set of tantō you might like.” “No! You don’t…nothing that stabs.” The merchant then went on a litany of Rokugani nouns as Orghina sat down on a stool, head in her hands.

Efeitos

The following apply to a character with the Tip of the Tongue anxiety:

Marcador de lista (ornamento) You know more than one language, perhaps several, and are fluent in all of them. So fluent that your mind mixes and matches words from all of them. While it does not hinder you socially, you find this frustrating when you cannot come up with that word you definitely know.

Marcador de lista (ornamento) After performing a check to communicate that requires you to bridge cultural, religious, philosophical, or regional differences (such as a Courtesy [Air] check to use veiled wordplay or metaphors to smooth out a dispute between the samurai and bonge or a Theology [Air] check to explain an equivalent religious idea from another culture), you receive 3 strife. If this is the first time this has occurred this scene, you gain 1 Void point.
