Descrição
Among the many lessons the Ujik taught the Ki-Rin during their initial raids on Shinjo’s clan was to remove any advantage the enemy believed they had. The Ujik saddle cutter is one such combat equalizer. This flexible, sharp, and serrated blade is designed to cut an opponent’s stirrups while the wielder rides alongside them—or in skilled hands, to snip a saddle’s straps, severing rider from steed. It is said that Utaku and Shinjo both hated this weapon and denounced it as underhanded and disrespectful, until Ide pointed out that when properly used, the weapon benevolently spares both horse and rider the bite of steel. Even so, few outside the Moto family or Ujik tribes practice its use today.
When you make an attack with a saddle cutter, you may spend as follows:
+: This attack deals no damage to the target; instead, it severs the target’s stirrups, saddle, or other connection to their mount. The target must succeed on a TN 2 Fitness (Earth or Water) check to remain mounted. The TN of this check increases by a number equal to the number of spent.
