Descrição

The Ujik of the Plains of Wind and Stone live as nomadic herders in social groups called ordu, traveling with their herds across a vast swath of the continent. Ujik riders are nearly unparalleled; indeed, the Unicorn Clan learned much about cavalry from the Ujik when the two groups first met centuries ago. As a result of the Ujik’s influence, the Unicorn adopted technologies and tactics like stirrups and the feigned retreat that would make them the greatest riders in the Emerald Empire upon their return. However, a member of an Ujik ordu must be able to do much more than ride. Most Ujik have a wide array of skills needed for their way of living: martial skills to protect their animals from predators and raiders alike, interpersonal skills to navigate encounters with other groups upon the plains, knowledge of animal husbandry and weather patterns to know where to move their herds. Of course, traditions tend to vary by ordu—some of which are small family groups, others massive moving cities of interwoven alliances.
