Descrição
Ironically, one of the Great Clans’ most unconventional families champions one of the Empire’s oldest traditions. The Shinjo school of horseback archery is perhaps the family’s most renowned, due in no small part to the inherent difficulty of shooting arrows from horseback. Seeking the unity of horse and rider, students must steer with only their legs, release the bow at the most stable moment of a horse’s gallop, perform ritualized festival archery—such as yabusame and kasagake—and master fletching and bowcraft. Horse archers can even assist in worship and the appeasement of spirits, and many wander the lands seeking to do so.
